This recipe was inspired by one of my son’s Starbucks obsession, he always loves trying things at Starbucks as a treat. I was curious about the Pumpkin Spice Lattes that everyone always raves about, so I decided to try one and then recreate that flavor at home on a budget! This batch makes enough to last the week and turns even the sleepiest Monday into a little fall celebration! Bonus: it makes your kitchen smell like a fall festival that’s so warm and cozy!

How to Make Pumpkin Spice Syrup


- Step 1: Dissolve the water and sugar over medium heat in a small saucepan.

- Step 4: Remove from heat and add vanilla.

- 3 tablespoon pumpkin purée * pumpkin pie not filling
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves *optional
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
